Terms of Service

Focus City is a productivity app where focus sessions grow a virtual territory on a real-world map. You earn coins, place buildings, and compete on leaderboards.

You must sign in to use the App. You are responsible for keeping your account secure. Each person may have one account and one zone. You may choose a username that does not impersonate others, contain offensive content, or violate any third party’s rights.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

You agree not to:

• Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws.
• Attempt to manipulate focus sessions, coins, zones, or leaderboards through automated tools, exploits, or any form of cheating.
• Interfere with the App’s infrastructure or other users’ experience.
• Create multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App.

The App offers optional purchases including coin packs and a premium subscription. All purchases are processed through Apple’s App Store and are subject to Apple’s terms and policies.

• Coin packs are consumable. Once purchased and credited to your account, they are non-refundable.
• Premium subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your device’s App Store settings.

Prices are displayed in your local currency and may vary by region. For refund requests, contact Apple Support directly, as Apple processes all payments.

Zones shrink if you are inactive for an extended period (72 hours for free users, 168 hours for premium users). You can purchase zone protection in the in-app shop to prevent shrinkage. Protection runs on a fixed timer from the moment of purchase.

We reserve the right to adjust game mechanics, timers, coin values, and pricing at any time to maintain a fair and enjoyable experience.

The App, its design, code, graphics, building assets, and map styles are owned by us or our licensors. Map data is provided by OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Database License. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App.

Your user-generated content (username, zone placement) remains yours, but you grant us a license to display it within the App (for example, on the leaderboard and map).

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times, free of errors, or that your data will never be lost. We recommend not relying on the App as your sole productivity tool.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law, including under EU consumer protection regulations.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction provide otherwise.
